How do I import time entries?

Use our import feature to simply create time entries in bulk.

If you want to import time entries into your clockodo account, best use our import templates. Just reach out to our support team for any template needed.

While editing the template, make sure to use the correct time format.
Times must follow the ISO-8601-Standard

  • 2026-01-31T08:00:00+02:00
  • 2026-01-31T08:00:00Z

or the european format

  • 2026-01-31 08:00:00
  • 31.01.2026 08:00:00

If you chose the european format, times will be interpreted in the timezone of the logged in user.

It is also important, that you don't save the template as a xls file, once you're done editing. The format always needs to be csv. Navigate to our import section, select the content of the file and upload your file. Next make sure that the mapping of the data fields is correct and click on "import". You can check the imported entries via the co-worker reports.
