How are holidays and absences calculated for monthly planned hours?
For monthly hours, Clockodo calculates an average value, which is credited in the event of an absence.
If you have set monthly planned hours for your employees, Clockodo calculates an average hourly rate that must be met per workday in order to reach the target number of hours by the end of the month. In the event of a holiday or absence, the employee is then credited with this average rate.
The calculation is performed as follows:
Monthly hours ÷ Number of workdays in the month = Average hourly value
For example, if you have an employee who works only Monday through Wednesday, for a total of 80 hours per month, the average value (in July 2026) is 6 hours and 9 minutes per workday. This can vary from month to month, depending on how many workdays the month has.
No fixed value can be defined here that would be credited to employees in the event of an absence.
