What is the difference between cumulative and non-cumulative surcharges?
Understand the difference between the options for defining award models as cumulative or non-cumulative
When you combine premium rates, they are added together. Depending on which laws apply to you, combining them may or may not be required.
If you select “Never cumulate”, Clockodo will always calculate only the highest premium rate for the work period. For example, if a Sunday shift with a 50% premium and night work with a 25% premium occur at the same time, only the higher Sunday premium applies.
If you select that a night work surcharge is to be cumulated with other surcharges, then Clockodo will, for example, add together the surcharges for night work and Sunday work if they occur simultaneously. Other surcharges, such as Sunday and holiday surcharges, are not cumulated in this case either.
