What does "absence" mean in the absence planner?
Clockodo masks certain types of absences for privacy reasons and simply lists them as “absence.”
If you see the message “x days absence” for an employee, you do not have sufficient permissions in Clockodo to view the actual type of absence.
For data protection reasons, we must hide absence types—such as “sick leave”—from other users. We use the word “absence” as a sort of placeholder when you’re not authorized to view another employee’s reason for absence (in which case we simply display “absence” in general terms).
Users with advanced permissions—such as admins, absence managers, or team leaders—can always view their employees’ absence types.
Example:
I enter “sick day” for myself. My supervisor sees “sick day” in the planner.
However, my coworker does not have permission to view my reason for absence. Instead of “sick day,” they see “Absence” in their calendar or planner.
