Track time using voice input

With voice input, you describe what you have worked on in your own words. Clockodo uses this to create suggestions for your entries. This allows you to track several tasks or working days at once instead of adding each entry individually. Any breaks you mention are also taken into account.

Requirements

First, enable "AI-assisted features". You can find instructions on enabling and managing AI features, as well as information on data processing, here.

Set up voice input for the first time

Voice input is available as a beta feature in desktop browsers. Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari are supported. It is not yet available in the apps. Speak in the language you have selected in Clockodo.

Clockodo guides you through a short setup the first time you dictate. During this process, you grant access to your microphone and set your time tracking defaults for customer, project and service. These are the default values Clockodo uses when it cannot match a detail from your dictation.

How to track your time

  1. Open voice input: Open the timetable and click the microphone.
  2. Describe your tasks: Specify the customer, project, task and the duration or time. You can also describe several tasks and days. Any breaks you mention are also included.
  3. Review the suggestions: Clockodo displays a list of suggested entries sorted by day. Check that the details are correct.
  4. Make corrections as needed: Click "Correct" and dictate your change. For example: "For the second entry, the project is Website."
  5. Save the entries: When everything is correct, click "Apply entries".

An example of a dictation:

"Bakery Wolf, Relaunch project, concept work from 9 a.m. to noon, then a 30-minute lunch break followed by two hours of customer coordination."

Clockodo creates suitable suggestions from this and takes the break you mentioned into account. You do not need to type in each task one after the other.

You can give feedback directly using the thumbs-up or thumbs-down option. You decide whether to share your dictation with Clockodo to help improve the feature.
