How do I add compensated time?
Define compensated time in the target planned hours if overtime is compensated with the salary.
The term "compensated time" usually means that certain overtime or extra work is already compensated by a lump sum, a fixed amount of money, or by a previously agreed compensation. This means that this time is not additionally remunerated or paid out as time off, but is already considered compensated and therefore counts as part of the normal employment relationship. If there is an overtime allowance in your employment contract, the hours included in it are defined as "compensated time". Only overtime beyond that will then be paid extra or granted as time off.
To enter compensated time, proceed as follows:
- Navigate to the target planned hours
- Edit the existing working time using the pencil icon (you may first have to deactivate the "Use the default planned hours of the company" slider)
- Enter a compensated time per day or per month, depending on how this is regulated internally or contractually, and save the change
