Do I have to create a project for every customer?
Clockodo allows you to track time at various levels. Time can be allocated to clients, projects, or both.
It is not absolutely necessary to create a separate project for every client. However, projects can help bring more structure to your daily workflow and reporting by adding an extra layer of organization.
If you have the “Track for customers” option enabled in the Account Settings, you can easily create clients without projects and post entries to them.
If the feature is enabled and you have both clients and projects, you should reconsider whether you want to allow posting only to projects or to both clients and projects.
Above all, keep in mind that if you allow posting to both clients and projects, time entries may be allocated partly to the project and partly to the client profile. This can be overlooked during reporting or billing (depending on the filter set in the reports builder).
