Data protection for voice input and voluntary feedback

With voice input, you describe your working day in your own words and receive suggestions for your entries. Speech recognition, creating suggestions and saving them are separate steps. Here, you will learn how the details you dictate are processed and what choices you have when giving feedback.

How does speech recognition work?

Speech recognition is handled by your browser's service. You dictate your details, and the recognized text serves as the basis for the suggested entries.

The browser service's recognition of your spoken details and the subsequent AI processing are two separate processing steps.

Why do you need to allow access to your microphone?

To track your time by dictation, you grant access to your microphone during the initial setup. We guide you through this setup the first time you dictate.

During setup, you also set your time tracking defaults for customer, project and service. These default values are used when details from your dictation cannot be matched.

Do we have access to your audio recordings?

We do not receive any audio data when you use voice input. Your browser's service is responsible for recognizing the details you dictate.

Are your dictations or transcripts stored?

We do not store transcripts of voice input, meaning written records of the details you dictate.

These are separate from the entries suggested based on your information. You save these entries yourself after reviewing the suggestions.

You can also voluntarily share a dictation with us to help make improvements. You make this decision separately when giving us feedback.

Are suggested entries saved automatically?

No. You review the suggestions yourself first. The entries are displayed in a list sorted by day.

When needed, you can use "Correct" to dictate a change. Suggested entries are only saved when you click "Apply entries".

How can you give feedback on voice input?

Use thumbs up or thumbs down to give us direct feedback on voice input.

You also decide whether to share your dictation with us to help make improvements. Sharing it is voluntary.

Where can you find more information?

To learn how to start voice input, which browsers are supported and how to edit your suggestions, see the article "Track time using voice input".
