Clockodo-Plugin in ChatGPT FAQ

What do you need?

You need a ChatGPT account and your own Clockodo account. No programming knowledge is required. We do not restrict the connection to specific Clockodo plans. The features available to you in ChatGPT also depend on your ChatGPT plan and permissions.

What permissions does ChatGPT receive?

You decide whether ChatGPT can only read your Clockodo data or also perform actions, such as creating time entries. Only allow the features you need.

The data ChatGPT can retrieve also depends on your personal permissions in Clockodo. Connecting your account does not automatically give ChatGPT access to all your company’s data.

Can you confirm actions before they are carried out?

Yes. You can choose whether ChatGPT should ask for your confirmation before performing an action. This is separate from allowing a feature in the first place: you decide both what ChatGPT is allowed to do and whether it should check with you before doing it.

Review any action you are asked to confirm before approving it. When setting up the connection, also follow your company’s IT, security and data protection requirements.

How do you use the connection once it is set up?

Enter your request directly in the chat. For example:

“How many hours have I tracked this week, and how is my working time split across projects?”

Or ask ChatGPT to start tracking your time:

“Start tracking my time for the Website Relaunch project.”

You can also use ChatGPT’s voice mode to start and stop time tracking. To perform an action, ChatGPT needs access to the relevant features you have allowed.
